18 NFL Games: Good for Fantasy Football?

The NFL is deciding whether or not to expand it’s already long season from 16 to 18 games starting in the 2012 season, That would mean eliminating the last two meaningless pre-season games (where back-ups are fighting for roster spots, at least on the decent teams), changing the injured reserved rules, expanding the size of NFL player rosters, as well as adding one more bye week.

But what does this all mean for fantasy football? Is it a good or bad thing? It will give FFL managers the opportunity to draft from a larger pool of players (especially in terms getting the back-up running-backs of starting running backs in case of injuries) and maybe even make special teams a larger part of FFL.

What do you all think? Expanded Season for the National Football League good for Fantasy Football?
